CTN CO-SPONSORS
ASIFA-HOLLYWOOD STUDENT ANIMATION FESTIVAL

On behalf of the entire team from the Creative Talent Network I would like to personally say thank you to Woodbury University and ASIFA Hollywood for giving us the opportunity to co-sponsor and bring CTN’s creative energy to the first annual ASIFA Student Animation Film Festival.

Woodbury University

On Saturday Oct 18th, 2008 over 200 students, pros and fans from various schools and studios converged on campus at Woodbury University to participate in this one day event that included portfolio reviews by local teachers, recruiters and professionals as well as industry specific panels speaking on the State of the Industry and ending with cocktail reception hosted by CTN and awards ceremony where CTN honored each of the winners by presenting them with a free membership into the premiere online networking site for students and recent graduates called Animation Alumni.

Held at the new Fletcher Jones Auditorium on the Woodbury University campus.

I pride myself in creating an arena where our professional CTN members can promote themselves, connect with clients and share their knowledge and experience with students and fans. Because of the hospitality and generosity provided by Woodbury and ASIFA we were tremendously successful at exactly that on Saturday. Many CTN members had never even been to the Woodbury Campus before and conversely many students had not heard of CTN or Animation Alumni so it was a synergistic opportunity for everyone and I look forward to co-sponsoring future events.

Miguel Gonzales, Ron Bradley, Tina Price, Stephen Silver

Thank you CTN Book Buddies Kyle Boyd, Ron Bradley, Miguel Gonzales, and Gina Turcios for your terrific work through out the day helping the artists and handling the crowd and for never forgetting CTN’s motto that “People will forget what you said, and people will forget what you did. But people will never forget how you made them feel.”

With over 200 in attendance we had a GREAT time!

We enjoyed having Creative Talent Network on campus and are proud to have one of our students be a new Animation Alumni. The book signing was great and we look forward to helping out with the CTN Animation Expo next year.

Great event and thanks for the write up.
