Brad Kesten Voice Actor, Writer

Brad Garrett Kesten was born on June 18th, 1971 in Paterson, New Jersey.

His family relocated to the San Fernando Valley in Southern California in August of 1979. During which, Top Child Agent Evelyn Shultz of WHJ, classically “discovered” Brad at The Universal Studios Commissary while he was having lunch with his Mom.
Over the next 10+ years, Brad continuously worked on over 50 commercials/ print work, accepting guest roles on several network sitcoms, NBC’s Diff’rent Strokes as Billy Garth, Silver Spoons, “Taxi” among others.

He’s also looped/ dubbed several characters for Universal Studios’ The Natural, Gremlins, Indiana Jones and the Temple of Doom and Uncommon Valor and later was cast in film roles including, Monster in the Closet, “Summer Camp Nightmare” and “She’s out of Control”.
Brad’s voiceover career took off in late 1981 after being cast as the voice of “Charlie Brown” and soon recorded 9 CBS Prime Time Specials, The Emmy Nominated, What Have We Learned, Charlie Brown?, the animated musicals, You’re a Good Man, Charlie Brown, It’s Flashbeagle, Charlie Brown and the now classic Saturday Morning Cartoon Series “The Charlie Brown and Snoopy Show.”

In 1990, Brad enlisted in the United States Army during Operation Desert Shield as a 19d Cavalry Scout and then as a Security Contractor for Hughes Missile Systems and by late 1994 was working in Corporate Advertising and was raising a family.

After a longer than expected absence, Brad returned into Voiceover/ Writing/ Acting full time in early 2007. And recently completed a featured role in the film “Nobody Knows” a graphic novel concept produced by Dean Haglund and starring Gigi Edgley, David Franklin.

Brad appears several times a year at Comic-Con to discuss the changes in the industry, speak and meet with animators, fans and VO artists to answer questions and share memories about the years working with Charles Schulz, Bill Melendez and the good times while having voiced Charlie Brown.

He resides in Ventura County, California with his wife Sara and has two children.
