Brett Bean Character Designer
Back by popular demand Brett Bean is on the CTN eXhibit floor offering original art, books, sketchbooks, prints, t shirts, merchandise, demos, portfolio reviews. Be sure and stop by and say hi.
Description: After asking to be a drummer to his mother at an early age, Brett Bean was handed a piece of paper and a pencil because, “It was more quiet,” thus starting his slow descent into the seedy underbelly known as character design and visual development.
Through years of toiling and drawing, the egos, the self-deprecation, and the ability to endure, Brett emerged mostly human and finally employable.
Since those fateful years he’s contributed to Film, TV, games both digital and analog, pitches, manuals, and books.
Brett’s most recent projects can be seen on Disney XD called Slugterra, on the web called King’s Road, and on the table called
farmageddon.
When not working for clients he is busy on his 5th art book, a new graphic novel collection of short stories, and fine tuning his own pitches for the screen.
With a passion for travel, caffeine, volleyball, Tom Waits, and speaking in the a 3rd person vernacular, Brett currently free-lances, teaches, and lives with his wife Julie, a brilliant jewelry designer, in Pasadena, CA.
His Clients Include Disney TV, Nickelodeon, Nerd Corps., Wizards of the Coast, Speakeasy, Space time Studios, Leap Frog, Rumble Inc., Gazillion Entertainment., Wowwee, Imagine FX and More.
