CTNX 2010 Thank You

CTNX 2010 Thank You

The Creative Talent Network says “Thank You”

A grass roots effort like CTN-x takes a special kind of commitment to the project and a passion for the subject matter for it to succeed without the kind of major corporate backing or salaried paychecks found at larger events. Those efforts and sacrifices so often can go unnoticed that I’d like to take a moment to thank our rock star crew and CTN supporters publicly.

Thank you (in alphabetical order) John Alexander, Jerry Beck, Tenny Chonin, Andreas Deja, Tim Fry, Andy Gaskill, Frank Gladstone, Bruce Gleason, Fred Herrman, Stephen Hodges, Elizabeth Joanou, Delivery Joe, Bill Kroyer, Tyler Lindsay, Brad Levine, William Mar, Bruce Morris, Sue Nichols, Nate Metcalfe, John Musker, Hollie Overton, Desiree Sandoval,  Charles Solomon, Trisha Sprouse, Tara Steinke, Asako Takeuchi, Monique and Terry White and all the volunteers for giving over 100% effort and sharing the CTN spirit in your various areas of expertise.

A special thank you to The City of Burbank for giving  CTN  a home and for showing unstop-able support of “the talent” by proclaiming that the International CTN animation eXpo be the anchor for what is now officially “Animation Week” in the animation epicenter of the world, Burbank CA.

Thank you Sony Classics for opening CTN-x this year with the exclusive first public screening in the Los Angeles area of acclaimed classically animated film “The Illusionist” screened at the Burbank AMC Theater. A very privileged 500 attendees were literally swept away by the charming world created by Sylvan Chomet’s vision and talented team of artists from Django Films.

Additionally thank you Walt Disney Feature Animation for closing our show this year with an exclusive sneak peak at the stereoscopic 3D version of their latest animated release entitled “Tangled”. This special invitation came in to CTN from the Walt Disney Company late on Tuesday Nov 17th and this special exclusive included seeing the film screened on the Walt Disney Studio lot at the studio theater. So in 24 hours CTN got the word out and the first 500 attendees who read their email and signed in had a real treat. WOW, what a way to button up the event.

And thank you to those dedicated professionals and aspiring artists who waited in line, participated in recruiting,  ignored any and all distractions going from hall to hall and session to session talking with, and literally bumping into the best talent in the world. To that elite group of 4000 I stand up and applaud you for taking the steps to fully grasp the benefit from this kind of once in a lifetime opportunity of which I hope you are still riding high from. I know I am.
