How to write and draw your own graphic novel.
Many artists in the entertainment industry have their own stories to tell and either lack the funding or connections to get these stories into production. An alternative is to write and draw your own graphic novel and Jake Parker wants to share with others what he’s learned in the creation of his own books.
Jake Parker is a New York Times Best Selling illustrator based out of Utah. He spent the better part of the last decade working in the entertainment industry developing characters and environments for animated films like Horton Hears a Who, Ice Age: Dawn of the Dinosaurs, and most recently Rio. Jake is also the creator of the graphic novels series Missile Mouse from Scholastic. As an instructor at Brigham Young University, Jake is currently bringing his knowledge of illustration and visual development to a whole new generation of future animation artists.
