Lindsey Olivares
Lindsey Olivares has always loved to draw and tell stories with pictures. With her work she strives to capture authentic moments and bring subtleties of real life into her designs and characters. She loves people watching and the art of caricature.
She studied animation at Ringling College of Art and Design. As a student, she interned at Disney Animation with a focus on character
design. After graduation in 2009 she moved to the SF bay area to start working in the art department at PDI Dreamworks. As a visual development artist, she helped develop the look of the third installment of the Madagascar series . During production she worked on set design, lighting/color keys, and a variety of design assignments. In 2012, she left Dreamworks to pursue a career as a freelance Illustrator. She currently resides in a small farming town off the Sacramento river where she draws cartoons and makes tortillas with her grandmother.
Lindsey will have work featured in HOPSCOTCH, a collaboration-sketchbook, also featuring Stevie Lewis, Floriane Marchix, and Priscilla Wong with a foreword by Kendal Cronkhite. She will also be selling sketchbook prints, and doing caricatures.
