Carlos Lopez is a Sound Designer, Sound Editor and Music Composer for Visual Media, mainly focused in animation. Starting as a musician at the age of 7, he later became a composer at the age of 16 and stayed in the music business until 2010, when he moved to visual media. In 2011 he was chosen to score and produce the music for the XVI Pan American Games in Guadalajara, Mex. At the same time, he scored his first short film and became the voice of the main character of the short film “Enraizado”, official selection in many festivals including The Cannes ShortFilm Corner 2013 and winning in the 2012 Guanajuato’s International Film Festival. After his success in visual media, Carlos started to work an specialize in sound design and music for animated projects, which led him to win in 2012 a Quorum Award for a fully animated political campaign he produced alongside The Monster View, a Guadalajara based animation studio. Recently Carlos worked with Imaginism Studios and StudioNx to produce the first ever fully animated comic book: Niko and The Sword of Light. He was in charge of the entire sound design of the app, so as the final mix.
