Craig Elliott Visual Development Artist
California-native Craig Elliott has been creating art for as long as he can remember. Fueled by an intense curiosity about the natural world, Elliott built elaborate dioramas as a child before taking up painting. After receiving training from greats such as Harry Carmean and Burne Hogarth at Art Center College of Design, Elliott began a career in the entertainment industry in 1996 as a layout and visual development artist. At the same time, he began creating a body of personal work that hearkened back to his love of nature, while incorporating his appreciation and respect for the female form. Today, Elliott’s career in the entertainment industry includes work for all of the major studios. His personal work has developed an international fan base, and he has exhibited in galleries around the world. This fall, Elliott will release The Art of Craig Elliott—a comprehensive collection of paintings, drawings, and process work that celebrates the breadth and depth of his fine art oeuvre.
