Dave Zaboski picked up a crayon in kindergarten and never put it down.  Educated at UCSB, Université de Poitiers in France, and Art Center College of Design, he has a deep traditional understanding of art. In 1990 Dave became an Animator for Disney Feature Films and has contributed his drawing skills to such modern classics as “Beauty and the Beast,” “Aladdin,” “Pocahontas,” “The Lion King,” “Hercules,” “The Hunchback of Notre Dame,” “Tarzan,” “The Emperor’s New Groove,” and “Fantasia 2000.”

He’s worked on traditional animated films as well as computer generated ones at both Sony and Warner Bros. He has taught and lectured at UCLA, USC, Art Center College of Design, Disney, Sony and Esalen Institute among others. With acclaimed speaker and world’s leading gerontologist, Dr. Ken Dychtwald, he co-wrote and illustrated a magical children’s book about transformation entitled “Gideon’s Dream- A tale of new beginnings,” published internationally by HarperCollins. Dave illustrated Dr. Deepak Chopra’s first children’s book, “You With The Stars In Your Eyes,” published in collaboration with Hay House and Dave’s publishing company Conscious Kids.

He just completed illustrations for Paul Michael Glaser’s book, Chrystallia, which is Dave’s fifth book for children. Dave’s novel “Forgive This Dream,” a fictional story filled with Dave’s interpretations of the divine energies of the Hindu gods will be released by a national publisher at the end of 2011. Dave lives with his wife Robin and their daughter Grace on a small ranchette in the horse country of Chatsworth, California.  Dave makes art from his studio and alchemical laboratory (la-BOR-a-tory) twenty steps from his house.
