Jeff Pidgeon

Jeff Pidgeon

Jeff Pidgeon studied at the California Institute of the Arts, learning character animation from Disney veterans Bob McCrea and Hal Ambro. He graduated with a BFA degree in 1988, working on such programs as The Simpsons until joining Pixar in 1991.

While at Pixar, Jeff animated in the commercial division before going on to help develop their first feature film, Toy Story. Storyboarding under the tutelage of John Lasseter, Andrew Stanton, Pete Docter and Joe Ranft, Jeff went on to work as a story artist on all three Toy Story films. He has also storyboarded on Monsters, Inc., Mike’s New Car, Lifted, Wall-E, Up, and 2013′s Monsters University.

In addition to storyboarding, Jeff designed Tex the THX robot, and has voiced such characters as the squeak toy Aliens in Toy Story, and Thaddeus Bile in Monsters, Inc.
