Matt Gaser Concept Designer Games and Film
Matt Gaser is a Visual Development Artist living in Northern California. He studied Illustration at Art Center College of Design, interned at Klasky Csupo as a Background/Prop Designer for the animated series Rugrats before completing his studies. After graduation, he worked in video games for six years working on such titles as Eragon, Forgotten Realms Demonstone and Lord of the Rings The Two Towers. The games industry eventually led him to an amazing opportunity working at Lucasfilm on the CG animated series Star Wars: The Clone Wars. After several years at Lucasfilm, he decided to shift gears and in the fall of 2009 decided to freelance full-time out of his studio. Some recent projects he has been designing for include Green Lantern: The Animated Series, the feature film HOP. He also created concept designs for Andrew Adamson’s work in progress feature in development, Fountain City. Currently, Matt Gaser is working on the animated film Angry Birds through Rovio Entertainment & Sony Pictures Animation. In his free time in-between raising a family and gardening Matt works on his personal fantasy book project that recently was picked by Chronicle Books called: The Numerical Adventures of Edmund & Hunter.
