Ringling College of Art and Design is a private, not-for-profit, fully accredited college offering Bachelor degree programs in 14 disciplines, including our award-winning Computer Animation program. Located on Florida’s gulf coast, the picturesque 35-acre campus now includes 90 buildings, and attracts over 1,300 students from 44 states and 53 foreign countries. We are recognized as being among the best and most innovative visual arts colleges in the United States, as well as a leader in the use of technology in the arts. Touted as the “Most Wired” campus in the US, Ringling College focuses on the convergence of art and design with exciting, successful careers.
While in our internationally recognized four-year Computer Animation degree program, students will focus on character based animation and develop skills in modeling, lighting, motion and sound, all while learning how to tell a story. Their main focus will be a senior thesis film where they will plan their ideas in the Spring of their junior year, and then be submersed in 21 weeks of production their senior year to complete the project. Most films are produced by one student, but they can also collaborate with small groups of two or three people. While in the program, students will learn the technical skills required in today’s highly competitive animation industry to be career ready by the time they graduate.
