Robert Stanton Art Director
Robert Stanton was born in Virginia and raised in Southern California. He attended Cal State Fullerton and began his career with RDI Video Systems as a storyboard artist. Following his passion for color and painting he became a Color Key Background Artist for Filmation and DIC Studios. He joined Walt Disney Feature Animation in 1988 as a Background Painter and rose to become Director of Backgrounds on “Mulan” and “Lilo and Stitch” and Art Director on “John Henry”. Following 16 years at Disney Robert moved on to become the Art Director on the feature film “Henry and Me”.
Among the studios and projects to which he has contributed his expertise are “Oliver and Company”,” Beauty and the Beast”, “Aladdin”, “The Lion King”, “Pocahontas”,”Brother Bear”, Firefly Studio, N-Space, ZeeGee Games, Bluesky Studio, Disney Imagineering, Disney Publishing and Funsockets.
Currently, Robert resides in Palo Alto, CA with his wife Mindy and their two sons where he is a Senior Art Director with Disney Interactive.
