Sherm Cohen Storyboard Secrets

Sherm Cohen is a storyboard artist with 18 years experience on many hit cartoons including The Ren & Stimpy Show, Hey Arnold, SpongeBob SquarePants, The Mighty B, Phineas and Ferb, and Fish Hooks. In 2011, Sherm received an Emmy nomination for his work on Kick Buttowski.

In addition to his storyboard work, Sherm has written and directed episodes of Hey Arnold, SpongeBob and Phineas and Ferb, and has written songs for various cartoons including “The FUN Song” for SpongeBob.  Sherm’s comic book stories and cover art were featured in Nickelodeon Magazine for over 13 years.

Sherm has taught workshops and classes on storyboarding at Walt Disney Studios, Nickelodeon Animation Studios and at the Entertainment Art Academy. Sherm has created many how-to guides on the art of cartooning, including the book “Cartooning: Character Design” (published by Walter Foster Publications), the official video tutorials for Toon Boom Storyboard Pro, and his 13-Hour 10-DVD storyboarding course, “Storyboard Secrets,” the only video training available focused specifically on storyboarding for TV and feature animation.
