Sydney Hanson – Sydwiki Illustration

Sydney Hanson is an illustrator based in Los Angeles, CA specializing in character design and children’s illustration. Born and raised in Minneapolis, MN she spent the majority of her childhood out in the woods and developed a love for biology and life sciences. This led her to her first artistic job working as a medical illustrator at Hybrid Medical Animation. During her three years there she developed storylines and visuals for the Mayo Clinic, Medtronic, and St. Jude’s research hospital.

Though fascinated with kidneys and livers, Sydney realized that she was spending most of her spare time filling up sketchbooks with doodles of people, animals and their stories. In 2011 she decided to move to Los Angeles and take advantage of its artistic knowledge and talent. In the past year she’s worked for Nickelodeon and several other animation and advertising shops. She’s fallen in love with illustrating and designing for the entertainment industry. She’s looking forward to CTN and the opportunity to meet so many talented and imaginative people.
